Don't send cancellation email if appointment has passed

Sometimes an appointment may be cancelled verbally with a client, but I don't have a chance to update it in the system until the next day or two days later. When clients get the cancellation email, they get confused because they think it's for a future session (even though the appointment date is included).

Several clients have gotten confused when I have cancelled an appointment after the fact (i.e., if I had cancelled w/them when I was sick but then not marked it till the following day). They seem to always assume it's for a future session even though I'm guessing that the date of the cancellation is somewhere in the body of the email. Perhaps not sending an email if the appointment has already passed, or somehow noting in a very apparent way, would help w/this. Thank you!
