Add customizable text shortcuts/phrases to assist in note writing
Add customizable macros shortcuts to assist in note writing like the Mental Status Exam selections. IE - Supportive Counseling, EMDR, CBT, Active Listening, etc.
Allow each practice to upload and update a list of smart phrases to use in progress notes per the practices needs. Example: (1) Client seen for *** skilled session focusing on ***. (2) Client participated in mindfulness activity needing *** assist to initiate task and verbal cues to attend to the end of the task.
(***) would represent the part that the therapist would need to fill in to make the note individualized.
This would help create uniform language used by the therapist and across the practice and help keep documentation concise.
This would really help with streamlining paperwork to make it easier to complete more quickly and efficiently for common interventions or themes that are frequently used.
Would love to have the ability to have a customizable drop down of commonly used phrases within the session focus, intervention and plan sections, ie "Challenged and explored possible cognitive distortions" or "assessed client levels of dissociation"....I feel like we often type the same thing multiple times a day, so this would increase productivity.
For creating your own forms, it will be perfect to allow multiple drop down options (sentence structure )
This will be perfect for note template to allow to put multiple interventions to create paragraphs.
There needs to be more ability to free text in the system including creating macros/"smartphrases" that are used repetitively. Every EHR I have worked with has this capability and it is frustrating and time consuming to type the same phrase over and over.
Include the option of auto saving certain "snippet" notes so we can drag and drop to progress note. I'm frustrated that I have retype the same thing over and over again. the Pyramed system offers this tool and it works really well.
There should be a "history" feature in every column of session notes. History would be saving all previous entries and auto completes when the same things is done in a session so the therapist doesnt have to type it again. You can also start this history with a library items to which the therapist' own entries would be added on.
it can just roll down like a drop down menu for the therapist choose from to simply insert the things from their own history to compose a new session notes. You have this function on the mental status exam part of the session notes. This needs to be added to the three main columns that we compose for every session. This would save a lot of time for us!
Quick text is where you pre-program words/groups of words that will come up with a prompt. The clinician would create their own list of prompts and texts, so each persons is unique. You could also have some standard pre-populated ones...
IT would be nice to incorporate some keyboard shortcuts for some of the repetative tasks of "saving" on every screen, when changing some detail. Update PHone, "Save", tab... Assign Staff "Save", tab.., Enter insurance information, "save".
A "alt+S" or "ctrl+S" would be helpful
Example I could type ".si" hit enter & the following would be typed out for me: "Pt currently denies suicidal & homicidal ideation, intent & plan. No additional risk factors were identified as pt does not engage in substance abuse, did not discuss hx of physical or ****** abuse, & there are no known safety concerns in home. Pt agrees to call BCRI, 911 or go to the ER if sx worsen."
It would be super helpful to allow users to create a common list of phrases that they use frequently that can be saved and then can be pulled into a note. For example: If I wanted to include my general statement about the review of side effects I would save that phrase under "side" and when I wanted to place it into a note I would type .side and then enter (or some other command sequence) and my pre-saved smart phrase would auto-populate into the note.
I’m requesting a feature that can take an auto populate a phrase or paragraph by typing in a quick phrase. In a previous system there was something called smart phrases and some of them or populated by the program and some of them were able to be added by the provider. I love both. ?
