Mark alert as read

Allow me to mark an alert as read so I can keep the alert displayed but remove the number count from the badge.

    It would be nice to have the ALERT icon badge be for only UNREAD alerts. I like to keep the alerts stored even after I have read them, to remind me for further action. But I don't want to see the "badge" for alerts if I have already read them. Thanks.
