Only allow client portal account creation through invitation

Please provide an update on this request. Given this issue we have disabled the portal access on our website as random people have signed up and filled all the intake paperwork whether it applies to them or not.

We experienced an issue where a (minor) patient already had a Theranest account and an online portal set up using one parent's email address, but the other parent was able to create a duplicate account using the portal. We are requesting that providers who set up these accounts manually during the intake process have the ability to turn this feature off to avoid duplicate accounts from being created in the future.

We need an option for our organization who does not want to permit new clients to create an account without an invitation. It has created a lot of confusion and client disappointment when unknown clients who have not gone through our intake process have created an account with access to all the intake forms and schedule.

For some reason our client's are able to create a whole new client account in the portal if they already have access to our portal. Then the system automatically sends them paperwork, and no one is assigned to the file. There is no option for me to stop this function in Theranest - but it should just not be an option to begin with.

Don't allow people who are not already in the theranest system to schedule.

adding options so that new clients signing up cannot schedule an appointment even if self schedule is turned on for the organization. Also allowing bulk turning on and off self scheduling based on clinicians rather than just on and off for the whole company.

Prevent patients from having the ability to create their own account, causing duplicate accounts in the system.

Request for the client portal to not automatically allow for clients to create their own charts. We have the client portal link on our website so clients can log in to pay their bills, manage scheduling, etc, but we are now learning that new prospective clients are also clicking on this link to create their own client chart and we are not aware they are doing that since TheraNest doesn't notify you when they do, and so we are not also aware to contact them after they have done so. This has also created in a client having multiple charts if they create a chart through the client portal link and then also call the office to schedule, which gets confusing. We would like for the client portal link to not automatically allow clients to create their own chart, or at least give the option for us to disable this particular function on the portal link.

Prevent people from creating their own accounts and portals. Have the ability to restrict account portal creations to invites only via office staff sending the invites and only the client that was sent the invite can create their portal and it only be created on the client account already created for them. We are having trouble with random client accounts being created via a portal link that our office staff did not directly send out or set up with the persons.

Have the ability to opt-out of people creating their own client files - it generally results in them having no assigned staff and then being overlooked. We want to control it.

Client portal login needs to be accessed by a link from the provider ONLY. We have had many people get into our portal who are not our clients, providing all of their confidential information. We have also had current clients creating their own logins to the portal and receiving every form we have in our portal this way. Both are majors issues, the first being a HIPAA violation and the second being an administrative headache when clients have two profiles and one has every form.

We use the self-scheduler a lot and we send the link to out current clients. We would like to have this on our website but then non-clients can "sign up" for a portal. Perhaps have a seperate link just for the Self-Scheduler?

If I send a client the link to login to the portal, it allows them to also sign up and create an account which causes duplicate accounts in our system. Don't allow account creation through the login link, allow account creation through the new invitation link.

TheraNest recommends using only ONE link for setting up a client portal - to avoid duplicate accounts. There are 2 choices: Login or Setup. If we use the LOGIN link - the next box gives them the opportunity to create a new account - totally defeating the purpose of choosing a link. PLEASE remove that option from the login links.

Hi! Can you make it so that clients can't create their own portal without using the link from the Client Portal invitation? (The representative said our new client created their own Client Portal from scratch. We wasted several days trying to get their file completed and get pertinent information prior to their evaluation appointment.)

Is there a way to remove (sign up for a portal account) in the client portal link? If I place the client portal link on my website, I am getting unknown people signing up. A link for only those who have a portal account would be the best, with no way to sign up listed on the link.

Please make an option to remove the "sign up" link from the online client portal. I send my clients the email invite after I've spoken to them and made sure they are a good fit. I've had numerous people just go to my website and sign up, filling out my paperwork, and then never contacting me again and not coming in. I feel like there could be a liability issue since they've signed the paperwork and are technically a client, but I have never even seen or spoken to them. Thank you.
