It would be incredibly helpful if Clients were able to print out their own superbills vs the company needing to send these manually.
And, if the company sends them manually, to be HIPAA compliant, the attachments sent to a client should be password protected. A client could enter the password they wish to use via their TheraNest portal and when sent, they can use it to open encrypted invoices/superbills.
On a HIPAA compliant platform, this added protection for a clients privacy seems to go hand in hand.
Invoices are displayed at the Client Portal ONLY if Clients are allowed to make payments via the client portal. Once Payment is made, invoices are no longer accessible to the client.
Problem 1: Some countries (Singapore) require clients to submit invoices for claims. Invoices MUST be paid by the client first.
Problem 2: Payment systems and currency conversions transaction charges may be too high to use the Make a Payment function for Non-US based firms.
Solution 1 & 2: Allow clients to access UNPAID & PAID Invoices from the Client Portal. This streamlines paperless billing for Non-US based firms and solves the above 2 problems.

Or automatically send them the superbill once payment is processed.
I lose a LOT of time sending out superbills manually. I cannot leave it up to the customer to download the superbill on their own and then pay on their own. I risk losing track of the charges and risk not getting paid.
Also, the superbill should not be sent by email, it should be through the secure portal to protect PHI.
It would be extremely helpful if clients could print their own SuperBills from the client portal even after their invoice has been paid. In the counseling world, we run their payments for them before their appointment to ensure it gets paid before we provide services. Plus the provider needs to input diagnosis codes for the SuperBill which obviously has to be done after the session and payment is complete. So the rule that you have to print before the payment is run is of no help.
The client should be able to download the superbill from the Payment History page in the client portal. Currently, the client cannot print the superbill nor the invoice after paying an invoice. The same printing functionality available on the Make a Payment screen should be available from the Payment History page.
There is a client portal already. But clients can't access invoices on the client portal? invoices have to been emailed or printed.
Allow clients to access their invoices on the client portal. Updated invoices, and balances should be reflected on the client portal. I think the client portal is not being fully utilised.
Allow clients to access superbills via their client portal AFTER they have made payment. The cannot submit an unpaid superbill to insurance to receive reimbursement, they have to show the service was paid for.
Clients should have access to their superbills and invoices at any time.
Also, when sending superbills after they are paid, we are still sending PHI via email, and one main point of the portal is to have all of their PHI secure.
Clients need to print superbills for insurance reimbursement and tax purposes - this would be a huge benefit to have on the portal as it would lessen my workload sending paid superbills to clients, who do not currently have access to PAID invoices, only unpaid invoices
Allow me (client) to print or reprint an actual superbill listing all charges paid for a specified period. The only way i can get even more than one visit to show up is to NOT leave my cc on file and pay several charges at once. This is a BIG disincentive to leave cc on file. One visit does not a superbill make. Would save time/paper if I could print out many charges on one sheet of paper since I have to fax/mail these charges to my insurance company. Please allow clients to print their own super bill after it’s been paid. That is the whole point of the super bill, to allow clients to submit it themselves to their insurance for reimbursement. Why wouldn’t it already be paid for most people trying to use the feature?
Patients need to print Superbills which show their payments for reimbursement from HSA/FSA's. It would be much more convenient for them to be able to print from the Portal. We have had many complaints about the invoices "disappearing" after payment is made.
It would be extremely helpful and cut down on call volume if clients were able to see their invoices and payments in their portal. When a copay is charged to the credit card on file, they are not able to see what that applied to. They should be able to view invoices and payments in their portal to have easy access to understand what a charge was for.
Add option on client payment portal section for patients to download invoices and superbill of PAID appointments. Right now the client is only given access to the invoice/superbill when unpaid.
