Allow clients to enter name when joining a telehealth session
Allow my clients to enter their own name when joining a telehealth session. We have some clients who are trying out new names and it may be different than the preferred name I have on file for them.
This is very important to me. As a queer person and a therapist specializing in LGBTQ mental health, I know it is essential to the empowerment of my queer and trans clients that they can decide which name appears when they are in their therapy sessions, and that they can decide to change that name regularly on their own accord. I enjoy all other changes to Theranest, but clients no longer having the ability to type their chosen name of that moment as they enter session is a change that I fear will have negative impacts on the mental wellbeing of my queer and trans clients.
