It doesn't make sense that NEW clients can get appointment reminders without an active portal, but the system won't send a confirmation to a new client that an appointment was scheduled if they don't have an active portal. If I add a new client to the system (with email address in their details) and schedule a brand new initial consultation, the system should EMAIL them a confirmation that an appointment has been made. It doesn't make sense that it doesn't work this way. Our process is that they complete an initial intake on our website and then we manually schedule their first intake appointment with a provider. The fact that it doesn't confirm when that happens just means we have yet another step to take and have to email them separately. This is crazy!
