The user needs the ability select the payment type when posting from an ERA file - either 'Insurance Check" or "EFT". As it is now, I have to manually go into each entry and change it to EFT. Defeats the 'time savings' of posting through ERA posting.
I agree it would save a lot of time if Theranest would post the check number of the insurance payment when processing the ERAs on my behalf. Right now I spend a lot of time going back into the ledger details and opening the payment so I can add the EFT/check # into the Notes.
It would be nice if in the ERA module. It would tell you the check # and the amount of the check , so we don't have to guess if we are posting the right check or not.
When we are posting payments it would be nice to indicate what Insurance company we are receiving the payment from in the list instead of having to write it in the comments. That would be nice on the Statement to have what Ins. company the payment was from. Also it would be nice to be able to record the Check number for any client payments and have that print on the statement.
I'm imagining that when you make this all Quickbooks compatible that this field will be in place--a way to track income by therapist and by type of payment (cash, check, credit) but I'd really like to make sure there is an easy place to document the check number when posting a client's payment.
