Thank you for your support of this Idea! The ability for Secondary Claims to be automatically added after an ERA is processed is now available within TheraNest. Additional information regarding this feature can found in this knowledge article: https://support.therapybrands.com/s/article/Secondary-Claim-Automation-TheraNest ( https://support.therapybrands.com/s/article/Secondary-Claim-Automation-TheraNest )

THIS! Also, a report for showing secondary claims that need to be sent would be HUGELY HELPFUL! Thanks!

Please automically add secondary claims to claims awaiting submission after the primary claim is paid. Currently it is very easy to miss secondary claims because nothing prompts you.

It would be helpful to know at the moment of processing a client's primary ERA, that they have secondary insurance so I can bill secondary at that moment. How else are we to be triggered to bill secondary?

Is there a way when ERAs are automatically processed to not move any balance to CLIENT AMOUNT DUE when the client has Secondary Insurance? We had a client's claim Rejected from Secondary & finally realized it was because there was no Insurance Balance Due.

When an ERA is received and processed automatically, the balance from the primary is automatically shifted to the client balance due. When a client has a secondary insurance this should not happen. Once this happens, the client is able to make a payment even before it has been submitted to the secondary insurance. In the worst case scenario the client has Medicaid as their secondary and is billed for services which is not typically appropriate or allowed.

To add more details around my request. When an ERA is processed and the adjustments are added to the invoice the secondary is ready to be added to the claims awaiting submission. I think that the processing of the primary ERA and the application of the appropriate adjustments should trigger the secondary to be added to the claims awaiting submission and a report generated to advise that the secondary claims are ready for review and transmission. This will be extremely valuable when the ERA files are automatically applied. It is easy to forget that the secondary claim needs to be manually added to the claims awaiting submission. I would NOT want the secondary to be transmitted however until the administrator reviews the claims and chooses to send.
