Messages sent to and from the client should be **automatically** saved to the contact log. I just had a medical records request and had to manually (one by one) add all the messages sent back and forth to the contact log. It was a major time killer. Currently, I save the message when sending or upon receipt; but for the times I forget, it would be easier if these messages were automatically saved to the contact log records. That is where they should be and will be used for future purposes/record keeping anyways, so this just streamlines our work.

It would be great to have patient messages automatically copied into the chart and an icon to show up in inbox to denote that. I have so many messages in my inbox that I'm not sure if they are in the patient chart yet, so I don't delete them.
While being able to copy patient messages to the chart is super helpful, my inbox is now full. I'm afraid to delete messages in case I forgot to copy them, and really I don't think we should have a choice. It would be great if any messages that come from a patient automatically are put into their contact log, as well as any replies sent are logged automatically. Then, maybe a 'done' feature when we've read or replied to remove it from the provider inbox. Also, if something a patient asks for needs to be forwarded to another provider/staff member, that feature would be fantastic.
In some ways, there would be a place for patient messages and another for staff messages, though patient messages can be forwarded to staff members.
It would be very helpful to have emails sent to clients saved automatically as a contact note for each client. This would allow for accurate documentation of contacts made through the system.
