It would be great of the system would automatically reject claims that are being submitted if the service type doesn't have a modifier and the POS is "telehealth". Or, if the POS is "office" and the service type does have a telehealth modifier.
I have had a number of claims denied this year because clients have switched from in person to telehealth at the last minute, and I have forgotten to switch the CPT code to the service with the modifier for telehealth. Is there a way to search for this error when getting ready to submit the claim? I am trying to be more diligent, but I imagine that this will be an ongoing issue, as telehealth appears to be here to stay.
