Tracking printed documents. I'd like to see some way to track anytime someone downloads and prints documents from a client record. This is a pretty crucial accountability for group practices when it comes to managing ethical and HIPAA compliant practice.
I often need clients to complete a release of information for multiple parties (doctor's offices, past therapists, emergency contact, etc.). While I can create a custom form for my intake packet, it's bulky and tedious and I'd have to individually send the form multiple times as they complete it for multiple releases. A feature to manage releases and track their expirations would be invaluable, especially as we are moving to complete telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic and don't have an easy way to walk clients through signing and returning the paper form.
This would be particularly useful if it were a tab where we could put contact information, expiration date for the release, and types of information that could be released. We could scan and upload our paper releases, but it would be cumbersome to look through those to find this information. Our old EHR had this as part of the client record and it was incredibly useful.
