Designate primary and secondary diagnosis

Add a space for primary diagnosis and a space for secondary diagnosis. In order to bill claims correctly, the first diagnosis on the initial diagnosis page is billed out to insurance as the primary diagnosis. If we accidentally have a substance use diagnosis on the list first, then it will get billed as the primary diagnosis and will get denied. We have to deleted all the diagnosis and make sure we add them in a specific order. If we had a space for primary diagnosis and a space for secondary diagnosis that would eliminate this problem.

When adding diagnostic codes to a client’s assessment or an addendum, you now have the option to select a classification for up to four billable diagnostic codes. The classification of the diagnostic codes will dictate the order in which they are listed on claims.

Since moving to Florida, insurance is super picky about what diagnoses I list, and how. I have to delete all the diagnoses, and re-enter them per insurance claim sometimes. I would love that list to be "re-organizable." Can we get the diagnoses movable or re-arrangeable so we don't have to delete and re-order? Thank you! Sarah

Yes, I agree. This is very important! Ideally, you could enter all then diagnoses and then you could put them in order or assign them as primary, secondary, 3rd, 4th, etc.

For us, even if the first diagnosis is billable, any subsequent non-billable diagnoses cause our clearinghouse to reject the claim before sending it to the biller. We would like the ability to "check off" whether or not a diagnosis should be included on the claim.

Be able to easily re-order the diagnoses/diagnostic codes because this order matters in the DSM....when I have to go in and add and delete and jostle the codes around after a change is discovered, it creates havoc. So, a simple click and pull would be amazing.
