Ability to set a default place of service in Organization Settings

Add the ability to set a default for place of service in my organization settings. Staff members could still manually override the default in the progress note or invoice, but in our admin settings I would pick which Place of Service option would be the default across our organization.

    It would be helpful to set the default place of service for each client, so that their billing for each session would be automatically in the correct location, and not require the therapist to remember to change it for each appointment, since we usually see the same client in the same place for each session. Especially for telehealth. I hope this change can happen quickly!

    Right now, during the the corona virus outbreak, I am doing all sessions online. It would be nice to switch default to "teletherapy."

    Yes or give use the option to customize the pull down options to meet our individualized needs

    If your default is not 11, and you have several therapists in your group, it's almost impossible to use Theranest for billing, because you have to count on each therapist to reliably change the place of service to the appropriate one for your group, for each and every progress note. This is a terribly serious problem for us, a community mental health center.

    Please make it so our Place of Service can be set permanently to 53, community mental health center. Having to change it every time a counselor puts in a note is cumbersome and they are likely to forget, causing problems with billing. Thank you!!!

    Is there any way for place of service (from calendar entry) to be automatically populated in a progress note? We often see telehealth clients and, while the calendar entry notates that the location is telehealth, clinicians often forget to also choose a location on the progress note, creating billing issues. If my billing person catches it, this involves her un-signing notes, correcting the location and asking clinicians to re-sign notes before billing those claims.

    When we create organization locations, be able to save a designated Place of Service for that location so that every appointment that takes place at that location will have the correct Place of Service set on invoices and progress notes.

    I would like to suggest that there be a place of service code option in the appointment schedule window so it can be established as appointments are scheduled. If it is only something that can be changed by an individual with billing access, that means it is not even an option for the clinician to change the field as they do their note. Ultimately, I think the CPT codes are currently more important than the place of service codes, but it would be nice to be able to have this field populated correctly from the beginning, rather than having to go back and try to change it on the billing side.

    Once a "place of service" is chosen in a calendar entry, it would be helpful if this would automatically populate the progress note for that particular session. Right now, notes default to "office," and if signed by a therapist this process becomes complicated on the billing side if, in fact, the location is different. I have to contact the therapist, have them un-sign the note and change the location, re-sign, and email me to let me know to move forward with billing.

    Place of service needs to be blank instead of defaulting to "office"
