Medications list in client details

Add a place to track medication information, to include med name, dose, frequency, and prescribing doc. This would help to track current medications, as well as medication changes as they come up. It can be hard to keep track of medications for each patient in the current system.

There is a field in the Additional Details tab called "Prescribed and OTC Medication?" Hope that helps!

It could be beneficial to have patients be able to update the information through the client portal.

I would like a list of current medication(s) and dosages within the progress notes of each patient. I really dislike having to leave the progress note screen to review a patient's medication list in their information. It is relevant case information and should be readily available, just like their diagnosis and treatment goals. The medication list should also carry forward in each note, just like their diagnosis, unless changes are made. PLEASE make this change possible! This is highly important treatment information!

Can we add a medication list to the treatment plan? CARF recommends including it in the treatment plans and tracking changes (which Medicaid requires as well).

I suggest that there should be a separate section within the intake to record and log medications.

It would be most beneficial to have a drop down/uploaded list of medications or at least be able to keep a track of clients' medication such as date prescribed, dosage, frequency and any changes that should occur.

I would like a place to track and update medications in the notes section. And document any medical issues during the initial diagnostic.

Agreed! The information re: meds should populate in the progress note so when they say something that makes you wonder about medications or contributions of medications, you don't have to ask them (again and again) what meds their taking. Alternatively, we get distracted by searching in our intakes for the info and can miss what's being said ongoing. please adapt to this significant suggestion! thanks so much!

Yes, please add this to Theranest where it shows up to remind therapists of what medications are being taken! It is a hassle to have to try and remember the exact day in which clients mentioned when medications changed, or at intake the client does not remember what exact prescriptions they have.

There should be a place on the intake for medications. There should also be a place either on the notes or another tab for updated medications. It would be helpful, if the medications from the intake could automatically populated to the notes medications.

Add a dedicated space on the note that is populated from the treatment plan (or any location that would function this way, and which could be updated), so it always shows up on every note. This would be a helpful reminder to non-prescribers about medications client is taking. This would not be for prescribers.

Agreed! A special section identifying past and current medications, dosages, and prescribing MD ( and contact info). Would be wonderful if client was on current meds if this was also imported into the "automatic" generated progress notes, so that any changes to meds or side effects or compliance with medications could be reviewed. Additionally, if MD name and contact info tab was able to be aggregated elsewhere ( i..e in a report). then tracking consultation and collaboration with other providers could be more systemized, both for quality care and also marketing, etc.

This is a great idea. It would be great if it could be auto-generated to be checked/updated in each session

Being able to document hx of medications is a must! How is this not part of the notes yet? For coordination of care therapists often track current meds clients are on and the adjustments but for group practices that actually have a psychiatrist, where they supposed to track past meds, current, not to mention vitals to record for meds that require stricter monitoring? Please add either a meds section to the assessment tab that can pull into progress notes or in the progress notes as it is something that will need to be updated each session! Or, create a separate note template for clinical accounts who are MD's

Yes, agreed. How is this not an option? It should be its own tab and an easy way to track all meds taken in the past, current, and then update new ones.

It would be great to have a place for listing medication information and then a way to update as the clients medications change.

In the initial assessment, having a box for psychotropic medications also checkboxes would be fantastic for the MSE Section
