Two new fields have been added to progress notes allowing you to indicate if the client has made progress toward treatment. Stay up to date with TheraNest updated by checking out our Changelog!
I'm a pediatric OT and recently subscribed to Theranest. I know it's designed for mental health, but it seems that the ability to update goals more frequently and on Dynamic forms is a popular request! I have created a customized treatment/progress note on a Google spreadsheet that my team utilizes for each treatment session. Goals are updated as they are addressed in sessions (Met, Progressing, # of trials completed, % completed, Unsure, Continue Goal, Discharge Goal) . The 30-day and 6-month Progress Reports can be easily prepared from the most recent treatment note since all goals are at current progress levels. The Progress Reports become the updated Treatment Plans/Plans of Care. I would love this functionality to be added to Dynamic Forms in Theranest so that I can utilize your documentation platform and be able to track the completion of documentation. Right now, it is so limiting that my team and I have to keep doing documentation in our Google Suite. For what it's worth, when Theranest is suggested among pediatric OTs, your strength is your operations managment, billing, and reporting. Your greatest weakness is the documentation. I'd be happy to talk with someone to assist with building a stronger documentation platform for pediatric OT!
Add area and/or checkboxes indicating treatment progress to the progress note right below the treatment plan. This can include: progress, no progress, limited progress, regression.
It would be great to be able to update the status of a goal (in progress, complete, deferred, closed) without creating a new treatment plan. This happens throughout treatment and at the end.
thanks!
The insurance requires us to clearly state progress: 1. Good/significant progress noted (as evidenced by) 2. no progress noted (as evidenced by) 3. no change in progress (as evidenced by) 4. steady progress note (as evidenced by), etc. Our clinicians forget to include this sometimes. If there were a check box for this, it would make the supervisors job so much easier. Thank you for considering this.
