Automatically change Time Zones for clients when creating appointment
With the advent of the telehealth feature, it is going to be even more important to be able to have the calendar adjust for the clients time zone. I provide telehealth in CA, FL,MI and TX (all states in which I am licensed) as well as military service members across the globe. It is very confusing for clients when the calendar is not in their own time zone.

Appointment times shown in the Client Portal, the client's Appointments list, and the Clients list now has the location time zone appended.
I'm considering not using TheraNest because of this one feature. I'm not too concerned about the clients- I don't often use the reminder feature in my current EMR but I'm worrying about clinicians. Wondering what else will "mess up" if the clinicians just choose to ignore the timezone Theranest is set up to and use their own time. For example, if appointment is 3pm Central and Theranest is set to Eastern but they put 3pm in anyway. As long as no one else is going into their schedule (they schedule on their own), does it really matter? Or am I missing something about how it may impact billing or insurance?
I work in an agency with multiple sites across the nation and it is so confusing that my notes and appointments are always auto entering as central time zone when I am EST!
This is also important for organizations that have different locations in multiple time zones! Right now, if our organization is set in EST, it throws all of the other clinicians off, because they are in different time zones. PLEASE allow clinicians to set their own time zone, as opposed to the organization having 1 time zone. And in viewing the additional comments below, having it translated into the client's time zone would also be beneficial for when they receive scheduled appointments and appointment reminders.
This would be very helpful. It is very confusing to our clients to have the calendar as well as the reminders in a time zone that is not theirs. I would highly appreciate this change.
Theranest needs to have an option to automatically change time zones based on where a client/clinician are in the world. I have plenty of clients who travel, and it’s confusing for them to see the time zones in EST when they are half way around the world. It would also be beneficial for a practice where clinicians are located at multiple places across the USA. There needs to be a way to automatically change the time zone based on where you log in and it automatically sync up. Every other platform in the world has this option - why not theranest?
Theranest continues to fall behind in basic case management features. This feature is imperative to have especially when my practice has physical locations in 2 timezones and clients can be almost anywhere in the world. This is becoming an issue for clients and missed appointments are rising as a result. I am about ready to go elsewhere.
Our time zone seems to be whacky. It is showing us two hours behind what we really are which is getting confusing for our staff to see their calendar. I have gone in and changed our time zone, refreshed and it still isn't correcting it. Can you help? We are PST. THANKS!
Yes this NEEDS to happen! Especially now that Theranest does Telehealth, more times than not I am not in the same timezone as many clients. This is very confusing for clients with their appointments and with scheduling. This should be an easy fix in the Theranest system and will be huge for the therapist and the clients to be able to coordinate their scheduled efficiently
I have clients in multiple time zones around the world as I am a telehealth provider. Other platforms are able to adjust appointment times for the client. So if my calendar is in EASTERN time and the client is in PACIFIC time, the times will automatically update for client, must the way Google Calendar works. This would be an IMMENSE help to me and others as telehealth services are gaining popularity in leaps and bounds.
