Don't update close date when closing a reopened case

If I have to reopen a case to view progress notes or print documentation for an audit, when I reclose the case it updates the close date. Allow me to keep the original close date when reclosing the case.

Client was seen previously for therapy and is now returning, but assigned to a different therapist. New therapist cannot view old progress notes/file without reopening the case. We do not need or want the old case to be reopened, as a new case will be started for this treatment. Just for current therapist to review former file. Again, reopening the case causes the original closure notes and date to be lost.

After a client is discharged and closed in Theranest, we often receive requests for records from outside sources (ex: CPS needs discharge summary to verify client attended therapy) and we need to be able to pull these records and also document in the Contact Log that this contact was made. However, we would currently have to reopen the case (losing the original closure note and date)....and client is not actually being reopened for therapy.

Agreed this would be helpful. It is helpful to be able to update a closed case date but it would improve functionality greatly if the date defaulted to the original close date.

Need a separate discharge summary that is not involved with a case close. Sometimes you have to reopen cases for audits or to add additional paperwork or notes for something that happens after you closed the case. This changes the original date you close or discharge someone which is not ok.... It would be great if you could separate these out or leave the original case closed date
