Use Preferred Name for Telehealth

Currently, when clients click on the teletherapy link, they see their first and last initial and a prompt to put in a preferred name. Please change this so that they do not see any part of their dead name and only the preferred name is displayed.

    We should be given the option to allow the client's preferred name to be used for the Telehealth link. When the link is generated and then included in the reminder text, it does not use the preferred name. It is not efficient to go into each appt and change the name on the link before the reminder goes out. Thank you!

    Legal name not chosen name shows up as the name for the telehealth link. Please adjust this to be the chosen name.

    If I could vote on this 50 times this is extremely important please update this now. I have parents emailing to complain about the trauma every week for their child. Everything but the insurance should pull the Preferred Name so that all client contact is in the proper name. It would be better for us if the preferred names were the only one listed except for in the insurance area. Please switch asap. Thank you.

    Agreed. There should at least be an option to choose Legal or Preferred name when sending messages to clients, viewing messages sent from the patient via the client portal, etc. Some of our clients are comfortable using their preferred name all the time. However, some are not ready to use it with family members yet. Legal name should not be auto set to every function on Theranest, it should be optional and easily changed.

    I have gender-neutral clients who use a different first name than their legal one. You can enter a preferred name, but in secure messaging and when you create a link for a telehealth session, the legal name comes up. This is invalidating for clients and sometimes requires some mental gymnastics for me.
