As a supervisor, allow me to join Telehealth sessions without having to subscribe to Group Telehealth, or allow me to view recorded telehealth sessions.
Allow video-recording of sessions with client permission/signed informed consent. This is a common practice in supervision and many states require some percentage of direct-supervision hours which can be in the form of recorded sessions which supervisors review later.
We have several Master's level interns that provide telehealth services to clients. We would like to be able to join the session. I know that there is a group option, but we only need the ability to join sessions for our staff supervising the interns.
We have a large number of therapists who are practicum students and are required to record sessions to present to their school programs, and we use recordings of sessions for supervision purposes both for our trainees/practicum students and for our Associate therapists. It would be incredibly helpful if there was a way to record telehealth sessions built into TheraNest. As it is, therapists have to use a third party app to record, which doesn't always work, or use Zoom instead of the built in TheraNest telehealth platform.
Most telehealth platforms already have this feature. Yes this would be great for supervision purposes. During in-person sessions, sessions are commonly recorded for training and supervision review.
We frequently have supervisees at our clinic, and often need to record sessions for supervision purposes. It would be helpful to have the ability to record the telehealth session for viewing in supervision. Thanks for considering!
Please allow for the recording of telehealth sessions. My practice is a training facility where trainees are seeing clients and many of them are required to have video of sessions for their practicum classes and we use videos for supervision.
As the need for Telehealth continues, my professional development and the level of service I am able to offer my clients declines due to the inability to record sessions.
Personally, I am working toward advanced licensure, which requires a "live" supervision element, usually accomplished through recorded sessions. Also, I am a practitioner of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy which is a highly researched method and relies heavily on a continued ability for both supervision and self-monitoring of sessions through watching your own recorded sessions.
I only tape clients to whom I've explained all of this to, including how I store and use and destroy recordings, and who agree to be part of this. My therapy is more effective when I am able to watch tape myself and have it evaluated by my supervisor.
It would be incredible to have recording of Theranest telehealth sessions available.
